Everyone knows Fl to be the retirement state because everyone moves down to the sunshine state for the warmer climate and the shorelines and the retirement spots. There’s another type of people though that travel to the sunshine state; an no it’s not tourists. They’re just kind of always here year round although we do have typical 2 month break after new years and before spring break at the end of March that tourists slow down.

The kind of people I’m talking about though are Snowbirds. Snowbirds live somewhere else in the country, typically in the northerner states that get cold and usually typically see snow in the winter, and they travel to Florida for the winter. Depending on the snowbirds, most of them are retired, and all their kids are grown and grandkids are older, will determine when they come down. Some I’ve seen in the beginning and middle of November, some more travel down between Turkey Day and Xmas. Then after Xmas, by new years definitely is when the rest of them make their way down and they stay until about March or April and then Begin heading back north.

Welcome back to the campfire, grab your s’mores, and grab a seat around the fire. Thanks for joining me tonight at the campfire, where we discuss the dark world of true crime. This is the Campfire Crime Chronicles, a true crime podcast, and this, is the case, of the Snowbird Murders.

Randolph NJ, July 2005. 16 yr old Jennifer Parks goes over to her neighbors house to hang out and watch some late night tv on a Friday night into the early hours of Saturday morning.  Later that morning on Saturday, her mother goes to look for her in her bedroom and doesn’t find her, her bed not even slept in.

Meanwhile, young Jennifer parks would be found not far from her home at all. Randolph, a township of 25,000 residents would recount that they couldn’t remember a murder in the past 2 decades, and would be shaken from the events that would unravel in a town, not far from where I grew up in Long Valley.

Happy New year, and Welcome back to the campfire, I hope everyone out there had a good holiday season and embracing for old man winter; grab your s’mores, and grab a seat as the fire is burning a little higher and little hotter on this chilly January night. Thanks for joining me tonight around the fire, where we discuss the dark world of true crime. This is the Campfire Crime Chronicles, a true crime podcast, and this, is the case, of the Jennifer parks.

Brian’s Mother and Best friend Nate would say in an interview that it wasn’t uncommon for them to go Days sometimes a week without hearing from Brian.
