A coming-of-age, slice of life, audio fiction comedy with a difference. Our ageing heroine shares senior moments, family relationships and adventures—entertaining and a wee bit provocative. In Season 6 some ancient Greek deities choose her to 'save the planet' - if she only knew what her superpower was. Written, performed and produced by Aussie-born, Liverpool-based actress, singer-songwriter and performance poet Flloyd Kennedy with guest performers on 3 continents. Gentle but deceptively sharp; underestimate the characters populating this podcast at your own peril. The writing, performance and music are all a joy."
"Am I Old Yet?" is enjoying a hiatus as you've probably noticed. But while Season 11 is being slowly cooked up in the background, we are also working on a brand new podcast. Special Announcement: Please excuse this break in transmission - Episode 6 was going to take us to Greece, where Helen is enjoying the scenery and the sunshine. But in view of the terrible tragedy of the wildfires presently affecting large parts of Greece, including Athens itself, I'd decided to postpone that episode till next week. In the meantime, here is news regarding the development of the new podcast, "Baked Off!" which I hope to be able to bring to you later this year.
Voices: Ed Donnelly, John Warner, Andrew Durning, Matthew Field, Wendy Lap, Bernadette Pryde, Andrea Richardson, Tayo Aluko, Roy R Carruthers and Flloyd Kennedy.

Helen has gone missing, so daughter Janey and granddaughter Susie team up to track her down. This episode is an experiment, in that it takes the form of a series of telephone calls. A bit like the old 'epistolatory' genre, only using message bank rather than the post office. Let me know if you think it works - drop your response at https://amIoldyet.com/reviews - just a few words would be great.
Helen, Janey, Susie and Jennifer are all played by me, Flloyd Kennedy.
The music is from John T La Barbera's album, "In the Labyrinth" and the tracks are:

Helen's idea of providing pot plants to people living on the streets has caught the attention of the authorities, and they are not happy about it. But Susie has a plan and Demeter drops by for coffee and a chat, so perhaps it will all work out? Do stick around for the epilogue - and a behind the scenes chat between Ed and Flloyd.

Helen has received a note from Jennifer, her neighbour who lives in the flat across the corridor with her husband Harry, and her 103 year old grandmother Nana Madeleine. Helen and Madeleine have always enjoyed sharing their thoughts on life, death, mortality and immortality without fear or favour. And this time is no exception, although with a heightened sense of immediacy. Nana Madeleine tries to sleep, but someone needs to speak to her, and the result is - much laughter. Don't forget to stick around for the Epilogue.
