We all love going downhill, but there are some unique humans who seem to love ride uphill just as much as shredding a descent. SUPA is proud to welcome Braydon Bringhurst to the show to discuss his recent climb of the Whole Enchilada in Moab, Utah and some of the motivation behind his riding.

While much of the episode is fun and light-hearted we take a dive into the deeper reasons Braydon took on this seemingly insurmountable challenge … his passions for raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.

Nerd Alert! Take a deep breath … seriously.

We go deep, deep down the rabbit hole with Dr. Michael Brothers to find out everything you could ever want to know about the V02 max test, lactate threshold testing, and all the other wondrously nerdy things you never knew you didn't know about metabolic testing.

Working with Dr. Brothers, we put Josh through a VO2 and lactate threshold test in the Human Performance Lab at the Hybl Sports Medicine and Sports Performance Center at UCCS.

If you want to know more about metabolic testing at the Hybl Center, you can get ahold of Dr. Brothers directly by emailing him here.

We've all heard it. "No dig, no ride."

So where do trails come from? And what does it take to get they built … legally? Whether it is hypnotic flow trail or butt-puckering technical lines, increasingly the trails we ride are specifically built, planned and managed. But that takes more work than you might think.

In this second half of our two-parter with Cory, we talk about the past, present and future of trail building here in Colorado Springs.

If listening to this episode gets you fired up to go grab a shovel and help build some trail, find out more about how you can get involved at Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates.

In this first half of our two-parter with Cory, we talk about where he came from and how life landed him in Colorado Springs in his role at Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates.
