We can't even begin to describe how much we love this piece! This is obviously one of the most premier works for the wind ensemble, Paul Hindemith's "Symphony in Bb!" Sam and Noah talk about their love for this piece, what makes it so special and compositionally brilliant, as well as a review of the Frank Ticheli Concert at Baylor that Sam was apart of. We have really missed you all and we are so happy to be back!

TL;DR

After a very hectic time for the last year, Sam and Noah have been off on completely different adventures in their musical lives. Sam joined the Rancho Buena Vista HS band program as assistant band director whilst preparing for graduate school applications and Noah completed his first year of his masters program in music composition at the Peabody Institute. We have a lot to catch up on and this is the episode to do it! 

Our first real podcast episode will stream on Friday, August 9th at 10:00 PST!! We can't wait to back back with you ddiscussing this important music and look forward to hearing from you all again!

Welcome back to Noted! After being on hiatus as Sam starts her new job and Noah makes his way to the Peadbody Institute, we are happy to be back with Africa: Ceremony Song and Ritual by Robert W Smith. We have many opinions on this piece and we hope you enjoy this episode!
