Woman Be True

The Woman Be True podcast cultivates spiritual conversations to heal from grief, deconstruct societal programming, and elevate human consciousness. Let’s start with a few simple questions: “Why are we here?” “Why do we believe the things we believe?” “What makes us happy and fulfilled?” “What is our purpose or mission in this life?” “What do we know to be true in the present moment?” To what extent will you live your life if your truth is the truth? I was confronted by these questions against my will, at the ripe age of 23, shortly after college graduation, when my younger brother and only sibling transitioned from this life after a deadly heroin overdose. The depths and realms of grief from this traumatic experience brought me into altered states of consciousness, which felt impossible to overcome. The good news is that I’m still here. The even better news is that I am here to disrupt the systems, challenge the status quo, and deconstruct deeply ingrained societal and religious norms that have kept humanity in dysregulated emotional states to purposely disconnect us from our bodies, which have the medicine and answers to heal us from chronic pain, autoimmune disease, mental health disorders, and so on. I am here to overcome limiting mindsets and conditional ways of viewing the world to heal our ancestral trauma and break free from belief systems that hold us back from accomplishing our goals and pursuing our hearts’ wild, juicy, and sexy dreams. My quest for truth after my brother’s death led me to the volcanoes in Hawaii as a Christian missionary, the Himalayas in Nepal as a photojournalist and human rights activist, and to the jungles of Tulum, MX as a student of ancient Mayan healing practices. As host of the “Woman Be True” podcast, I interview gurus, shamans, healers, truth seekers, rebels, and nonconformists who live their truth daily. My podcast is inspired by the fascinating conversations, strange encounters, therapeutic psychedelic journeys, and spiritual awakenings I’ve experienced over the past 10 years of healing. I currently live and work remotely in Tulum, MX, an ancient Mayan city located within the Yucatan Peninsula. This land has given me permission to step into my most profound truth and fully express myself in all forms. After years of agony from searching for answers to heal from grief, I’ve uncovered healing rituals, ancient medicine practices, and tangible tools to awaken my heart to dream again, have hope for my future, and enjoy the sacred breath of each moment. I help my listeners do the same.

A conversation with Paul Paladine, an Energetic Healer, Servant of Light, and Bufo Practitioner.

Bufo is the strongest psychoactive substance on the planet. I just so happened to try it on a whim, on a Monday, in Tulum.

This was one of the most profound experiences of my life, where I became higher consciousness, and all attachment to every human emotion was completely removed from my psyche.

I met death and became nothingness, oneness, and emptiness all at once. I also experienced deep ancestral healing, cleansed my energy field from profound grief and pain, and experienced the purity of unconditional love.

It was terrifying. It was liberating. I do not recommend this to anyone who wants to live a content, peaceful, or normal life, as this medicine will disrupt every belief system you have created for yourself to keep you safe. You may temporarily lose control, and this control has kept you from your deepest knowing.

So, what is Bufo? Listen to find out.
