As we learn together what the stories in the Bible mean, we can learn how to live out our faith in our everyday lives.
109// The Day Love Won: Jesus’ Sacrifice on the Cross: Mark 15
In this episode, we reflect on the powerful and emotional story of Jesus’ crucifixion. Mark 15 takes us through the events leading up to Jesus’ death on the cross, including His suffering, mockery, and sacrifice. Even in the face of pain, Jesus chose to obey God’s plan for salvation. This episode reminds us that Jesus’ love for us is so deep that He willingly gave His life to forgive our sins and restore our relationship with God.
Key Points for Kids:
- Jesus suffered greatly to take away our sins and give us new life.
- Even though people mocked and hurt Jesus, He chose to love and forgive.
- Jesus’ death on the cross shows us how much He loves us and how powerful God’s plan is.
- The temple curtain tearing symbolizes that we can now have a close relationship with God.
- Because of Jesus, we can live with hope, knowing that sin and death do not have the final say.
Memory Verse:
“You were dead because of your sins…then God made you alive with Christ, for He forgave all our sins.” —Colossians 2:13-14 (NLT, paraphrased)

105// Trusting Jesus No Matter What: Mark 13:1-8
In today’s episode, we’re talking about how Jesus told His disciples to stay ready for anything! Life can be unpredictable, with challenges and surprises, just like the wars, disasters, and tricky people Jesus warned about. But no matter what happens, we can always trust God’s promises and hold on to the truth in His Word. Find out how you can stay alert and keep your heart focused on Jesus, knowing that He’ll always be with you.
Key Points for Kids:
• Jesus tells us to stay alert: Life can be hard, and not everything we hear is true. But Jesus is the real truth, and He helps us know what to believe.
• Things may change, but God doesn’t: Even when the world feels confusing or scary, God’s promises never change. We can trust Him no matter what!
• Stay ready by trusting Jesus: Staying “awake” spiritually means we pray, read God’s Word, and keep loving others.
Memory Verse:
Mark 13:8 - “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.”

104// How to Be a Super Giver (Even Without a Lot of Money) Mark: 12:41-44
In today’s episode, we dive into the story of the widow’s offering from Mark 12:41-44. Jesus noticed a poor woman who gave just two small coins—and He said her gift was the greatest of all! We’ll discover what made her gift so special and learn that God cares more about our hearts than how much we give. You’ll find out that we can give to God in lots of ways—not just with money, but by offering our time, talents, and love. Let’s explore how we can trust God, just like the widow did, and give Him our very best!
