In this episode the buffoons re-watch and review the episode that launched the entire G.I. Joe Series - The M.A.S.S. Device Pt. 1: The Cobra Strikes.

After a (way too long) hiatus, the Buffoons are back and changed things up a little bit. In this episode they review the SoCal Joe Show in Temecula, CA as well as explore their lifelong passion for G.I. Joe action figures.

The Buffoons dive into the DiC era of G.I. Joe. It turns out they hate it. They also go down the rabbit hole on a great many things including The Dukes of Hazzard, 90s tropes, Don Johnson and a bunch of other malarkey.  PARENTAL ADVISORY.

The Greatest Evil Part 1 & 2

COBRA and the Joes team up to battle a designer-drug kingpin who's made addicts of both Falcon and a Crimson Guardsman's sister. (IMDb)

In the final episode of 2022, the buffoons say goodbye to the incomparable Kevin Conroy and wish everyone a Merry Christmas by re-watching and reviewing Batman The Animated Series Season 1, Episode 38 "Christmas with the Joker" from 1992.

Christmas with The Joker plot summary:

On Christmas Eve, Joker broadcasts a pirate Christmas special on television. Batman and Robin have until midnight to fight their way past Joker's traps hidden all over town and rescue Commissioner Gordon, Harvey Bullock, and Summer Gleeson (IMDb).

Rest in Peace, Kevin Conroy 11/30/1955 - 11/10/2022

In this episode Jason, Joe & Kevin tackle a 2 part episode of G.I. Joe entitled "The Traitor" from season 1, episodes 46 and 47 in 1985. The discuss the details of the episodes and its odd similarity to a classic golf comedy film

The Traitor Part 1:

Just as the Joes perfect a new body Armor formula, they find evidence to suggest that one of them is giving their secrets away to Cobra. All the evidence seems to point to a senior Joe agent. (IMDb)

The Traitor Part 2:

Duke's been injured. The traitor has been discovered, now the former Joe is working for Cobra. The Joes must capture their former comrade, but he knows their methods, and can anticipate their moves. The Joes are soon captured, but an unexpected turn will reveal what's really going on. (IMDb)

In this episode of SMB  we breakdown Season 1, Episode 21 of M.A.S.K from 1985. The Buffoons discover they really don't like M.A.S.K. and reference Hard Target, Batman & Night Court.

Mardi Gras Mystery Synopsis: Out in the New Orleans Bayou, Jacques Lancaster has been using sap from the fire trees as a powerful but volatile fuel. Miles Mayhem wants to use it to power V.E.N.O.M.'s vehicles (IMDb).

In this episode of SMB  we breakdown Season 2, Episode 9 of G.I. Joe from 1986: "Let's Play Soldier". The Buffoons uncover the hidden political agenda written into this episode and provide a reminder that many 80s cartoons were driven by the toys associated with them.

Let's Play Soldier Synopsis: In the jungles of Thailand, Dr. Mindbender is concocting a special chewing gum which will put whoever eats it at the mercy of Cobra. (IMDb).

In this episode Jason, Joe & Kevin re-watch and review the G.I. Joe season 2, episode 21 "Ninja Holiday" from 1986. Lots of laughs in this episode as the buffoons weave in topics like JCVD, Black Belt Magazine and the podcast “How did this get made” and of course, they conclude their business satisfactorily.

Ninja Holiday Synopsis: Due to a mix-up. Sgt. Slaughter takes Wetsuit's place in a martial arts tournament put on by an international criminal, but it is actually a contest to see who is good enough to serve COBRA in the capacity of an assassin (per IMDb)
