Welcome to Waffle-Free Storytelling! Fireside, road trip, bedtime, anytime stories for all ages...mostly. Why "Mostly"? Although all the stories are family-friendly, some stories explore topics like death and the darker side of being human. But kids are pretty wild!! So, I bet they can handle it. Just keep PG in mind. The main thing is that this podcast is waffle-free. This means there's no jibber-jabber, no waffle, no rambling introduction, or debate on the impact of dinosaur pyjamas on a good night's sleep. It's the story and nothing but. The stories are between 3 and 17 minutes long, and, like I said, except for a few with a PG rating, are for all ages. Welcome to the place where coffee breaks become mini-adventures. For more, visit https://tinakonstant.com/ or follow me on Facebook or LinkedIn. Enjoy the show!! Sometimes, no matter how wild, weird, wonderful, unexpected, and strange a story sounds, sometimes... juuuuust sometimes, it's true.
Think about it this way: if we only believe the stories that make sense to us, we miss out on a lot of magic in the world.
This story is about the hunt for true stories, and what happened when our interpid traveller found one.
Put your feet up, take some time out, and join me for a waffle-free moment.

This story was inspired by a little childhood comment that changed the direction of my life. I wish I'd been smarter as a kid. I wish I'd not let the words from a silly old man sink into my soul. As adults, we need to ward against the things we say to young people. And young people... you need to ignore just about everything stupid old people say.
With all that said...today is today. Make the magical most of it.
Time for your waffle-free moment. Put your feet up, fill your mug with something delicious, and enjoy.

It's the greatest question of all time! I think the answer is as simple as it is complicated. Or maybe it's not. This is Narooli's answer and how he came to find it.

I have a hedge growing around my little backyard that's so full of birds that their dawn chorus wakes me up most mornings. To me, they're part of our home, so I fill the feeders with the stuff they love, which means they stay. As a result, I get to see new little ones spread their wings every spring. It's a thing of beauty.
However, despite the number of birds I see living life every day, I never see a dead bird in my yard. Ever. Even on my walks with my dog, I never see a dead bird.
This had me asking the question...Where do birds go to die?
That's what this story is all about.
So, take a moment, put your feet up, and join me for a waffle-free moment.

The best and most valuable time you can spend with another human being is the time you spend deeply listening, conversing, and connecting. This story is about one such conversation.

There are a few layers to this little tale. It could be about the bullies in the world. People who, for no reason at all, take pleasure in breaking things. Typically, they get away with it until you say no. When you say NO, the universe steps in and helps out.
Or it's about the giants within that you must stand up to and defeat if you're going to create the art you're here to create.
Or it's something else...
Either way, it's another wonderful day on Planet Earth. Put your feet up, take a moment, and join me for a waffle-free moment.

This story was written at a time when work was just a little too hectic for anyone's liking! Being so busy you can hardly take a breath isn't what we're on earth to experience. There are rewards that come with taking a moment.
On that note...put your feet up and join me for a waffle-free moment.

Art is a tricky thing. You can't control what people think. Whether people like or don't like it. If you take opinions too personally, it won't end well. This story is about an artist who didn't take feedback well...and the person who made it right. It's a story about ego and peacemakers. It's about the one to whom credit should really go but rarely does.
With that in mind...fill your mug with something delicious, and join me for a waffle-free moment.

This is a story about finding your own path and not expecting others to forge your path for you, especially if you don't know where you want to go!
While I wrote and recorded this tale, I found this quote from Joseph Campbell:
“If you can see your path laid out in front of you
step by step, you know it's not your path.
Your own path you make with every step
you take. That's why it's your path."
